AFAIK, there isn't much you can do to improve your FTP speeds. And I don't think you can be a hog - we have it set up to only allow you to connect once simultaneously. So, set your threads to 1 and sit back.

Thanks for the reply. In general, should ftp downloads be slower than, equal to, or faster than IAFM?

Use FreeCache and Download Accelerator Plus (or Speed Download if you're on a Mac). I get much better speeds that way than wasting my time with FTP.
